An attorney and the Chairman of the Republican National Committee. Is the former chairman of the Republican Party in Wisconsin, bringing Paul Ryan and Scott Walker into prominence.
BETSY DEVOS–SECRETARY OF EDUCATION
Billionaire from Michigan. Proponent of school vouchers and charter schools. Never attended public school. Her brother founded Blackwater. Her husband Dick is the heir to the Amway fortune. Has deep ties to the Reformed Christian movement.
TOM PRICE–HEALTH AND HUMAN SERVICES SECRETARY-Republican Representative from Georgia, Chairman of the House Budget Committee. Orthopedic surgeon who wants to gut Planned Parenthood and is strictly against any abortions. Obamacare foe. Claim to fame: Last year purchased shares in a medical device company days before introducing legislation that would have directly benefitted the company. Was grilled by Elizabeth Warren on this and claimed that it was a coincindence, saying that he was “offended by the insinuation.”
REX TILLERSON–SECRETARY OF STATE–former chief executive officer and chairman of ExxonMobil. Although Tillerson has acknowledged that climate change is a problem, ExxonMobil supposedly at its annual shareholders meeting rejected resolutions that would have moved the company toward renewable energy. Surprisingly, Tillerson was an Eagle Scout and was instrumental in getting the Boy Scouts to open up their memebership to the gay community.
